A Weekend at the Pet-Friendly Waldorf Astoria Chicago

Luxury hotel stay in Chicago for you and your four-legged friend!

It has been several years since I last stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. With the completion of renovations in 2022, we thought it would be nice to do a staycation with our dog, and he had a blast!

Handing this page over to Aston now!

Thanks, mommy. Hi there! My name is Aston, and I am a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My hobbies include cuddling, snacking, and making new friends. You can find me on Instagram - my handle is @emperoraston.

I hope you enjoyed watching my mommy’s stories over the weekend. As you may have noticed, I was thrilled to join mommy and daddy at the Waldorf Astoria. Upon arrival, I met a friendly group of bellmen, the front desk personnel and the concierge. They gave me a lot of rubs and attention.

Not long after, we checked into a corner one-bedroom suite. It was evident that thoughtfulness went into allocating our room. The suite was conveniently located by the elevator - it was easy for me to go on my routine walks and bathroom breaks! I also found my stay quiet as the living room and bedroom was located far from the hallway.

If you only scroll this far, I would like to inform you that my favourite part of this stay was taking quick photos with mommy on the bed! She usually never lets me on the bed! (She made sure I was clean first). I was tempted to take a bite of her burger… luckily I’m a good boy!

Mommy told me that I would be modeling a lot on this trip. For a few photos, I decided to look busy at the desk. How did I do?

Contact my mommy if you want me to model for your property or products!

Overall, I really liked the one bedroom suite as there was a large sofa, office area, and a special bed set up for me! Earlier in the afternoon, housekeeping had brought in a foam bed and bowl set to make my stay extra special. Although I sleep on my special bed at night - I enjoy cuddling on the sofa near Mommy and Daddy during the daytime.

Did I mention there was a fireplace? I love love love fireplaces! I could sit next to one for hours.

There was also a large bathroom in the main bedroom and a separate powder room in the living room. It reminded me so much of home!

One of my favourite weekly activities is taking a bath. Sadly on this trip, I did not take a bath as I just had one at home, but at least I got a nice photo!

Mommy and Daddy also smelled like Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Soul for the majority of the weekend! I wish they had shampoo for me too.

During our stay, we ate at Brass Tack twice! Once for dinner and once for its weekend brunch. Thank you again Waldorf Astoria team for hosting us and making sure that we were well-fed!

For dinner, Mommy and Daddy ordered beef tartare with bone marrow, aioli fries, hanger steak & potatoes, and salmon belly rillette. I cannot believe they ate it all up and did not even save me the bone marrow!

The next day, they skipped breakfast as they had an event to attend. Once they got back, they ordered chicken fried quail, shrimp cocktail, shrimp toast (they were out of lobster), and a dry-aged burger. Mommy especially liked the fried quail. I wish that I could of had some!

There is also the option of adding unlimited sparkling or still rose for $25 per person.

I recommend you to make a reservation if you want to eat here as it is often fully booked! You should also reserve the hotel in advance if you want a specific room or suite - Mommy can help you do it through her company!

I have written a lot today... so now it is time for a nap. I hope you enjoyed my little story! Please keep in touch - sending you lots of hugs and kisses.

Bye for now,

@emperoraston
